Fulbrighters in Saint Augustine

The North Florida Chapter of the Fulbright Association is visiting the historic city of Saint Augustine this weekend. Saint Augustine is the oldest, continuously inhabited European-established settlement.

Forty Fulbright visiting students, scholars, and alumni will complete walking tours of the historic downtown and the historic Spanish Fort, the Castillo de San Marcos, the oldest masonry fortification in the US. Tours will be lead by professional historian, Leslee Keys and Jay Smith who will be joined by the University of Florida’s Director of Historic Preservation programs in the College of Design, Construction and Planning, Cleary Larkin.

At midday, the group will enjoy a meet-and-greet with local chapter members in the Tiffany-glass adorned Ponce de Leon dining Hall at Flagler College.
